We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that whilst our Cambridge Food stores will be open for business as usual, the safety and wellbeing of you, our customer and that of our colleagues is our top priority. As a result, we want to share with you the steps we’re taking in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
We can confirm that at approximately 8am on Wednesday 4 September two armed suspects robbed the Cambridge Tembisa store in Gauteng and made off with an undisclosed sum of money. Fortunately, no staff members or customers were injured. The South African Police Services were notified and our Risk Management team is working closely with them to identify the suspects. We reacted to the situation by arranging trauma counselling for all staff who were involved and as a precautionary measure we have increased security at the store which is now trading as normal. We will continue to monitor the situation.
